Office cleaning prices per visit

Prices are per visit, supplies and equipment included. Paper goods and liners can be ours or yours.

The short answer: a small Brooklyn office on a weekly plan pays $145–$200 a visit, about $630–$870 a month. Offices cleaned more often pay less per visit, because each visit has less to catch up on. The table is our published price list; every quote starts from it.

Per sq ft

Office cleaning cost per square foot

Square footage is the starting point, not the answer. The rate per square foot falls as the space gets bigger and the visits get more frequent.

Worked out from the per-visit price list above for offices of 1,000–5,000 sq ft. Small offices usually land on the minimum visit price rather than the per-sq-ft figure; over 5,000 sq ft the price is set after a free walkthrough.

Per hour

Office cleaning cost per hour

Recurring office cleaning is quoted per visit, not per hour, so the price does not change if a visit runs a little long. One-time and irregular jobs, such as a move-in clean, a post-event clean or a clean-out before a lease ends, are priced at $55–$65 per cleaner-hour with a 3-hour minimum, supplies included.

A useful rule of thumb: a cleaner covers about 2,000–2,500 sq ft of open-plan office an hour on a regular visit, and 800–1,200 sq ft an hour on a first or deep clean. Private offices, restrooms and kitchens slow that down.

What changes an office cleaning quote

Restrooms and kitchens

They take the most time per square foot. Two offices of the same size with one and four restrooms are priced differently.

Private offices

Ten closed offices take longer than the same area of open desks: doors, bins and furniture in every room.

Floors

Carpet is vacuumed, hard floors are swept and mopped, polished concrete gets a dust mop. Mixed floors mean two sets of equipment.

Hours and access

Evening visits are standard. Night visits behind a security desk, escorts and dock-only entry are planned in the quote.

Building rules

A COI for your building is included at no charge. Freight-elevator bookings and vendor registration are part of the plan, not an extra.

Supplies

Products and equipment are always included. Paper goods are either yours or billed at cost.

Districts

Where in Brooklyn the offices are

Downtown Brooklyn around MetroTech and Court Street has the most traditional offices: law firms, professional practices and Class A towers with vendor rules. See office cleaning in Downtown Brooklyn.

DUMBO and Williamsburg have creative offices in converted warehouses: open plans, brick, big kitchens, and buildings with one freight elevator. See our DUMBO and Williamsburg pages.

Industry City, Sunset Park and Gowanus mix studios, showrooms and light industry. Floors are often concrete and restrooms shared by the floor, which keeps the per-square-foot rate at the low end.
