Final cleans in Carroll Gardens cost $350–$750 for an apartment up to 1,500 sq ft, $0.50 per sq ft for larger homes and from $0.60 per sq ft for shops. A garden-level renovation takes one day; a Court Street storefront is ready for opening in one to two.
Carroll Gardens renovations come in three shapes: garden levels opened up to the yard, mixed-use buildings on Court and Smith Street, and whole brownstones on the deep-garden blocks.
| Project in Carroll Gardens | Typical size | Final clean | Crew time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garden-level renovation with a rear extension and glass doors | 1–2 bedrooms, up to 1,300 sq ft | $475–$600 | 1 day |
| Storefront on Court or Smith Street before opening | 600–1,500 sq ft | from $360–$900 ($0.60 / sq ft) | 1–2 days |
| Apartment above a store after renovation | 1–2 bedrooms, up to 1,100 sq ft | $475–$600 | 1 day |
| Whole brownstone on the Places or President Street | 3,000–4,000 sq ft | $1,500–$2,000 ($0.50 / sq ft) | 2–3 days |
| Rough clean between trades (storefronts) | Any | from $0.30 / sq ft | Per phase |
Homes: flat price by size for apartments up to 1,500 sq ft (studio $350, 1-bedroom $475, 2-bedroom $600, 3-bedroom $750), $0.50 per sq ft above 1,500 sq ft. Commercial: final clean from $0.60 per sq ft, rough clean from $0.30, touch-up after the punch list from $0.20. Not included: exterior windows in homes; any windows in commercial spaces (we can refer a window contractor).
Garden-level renovations usually open the back of the house with a rear extension and a wall of glass doors. The new door tracks fill with sand and grout, the glass carries stickers and silicone, and dust from the yard work comes in every time a door opens. Tracks are vacuumed and wiped, stickers and residue come off the glass, and the final clean is booked after the landscaper is done, not before.
Storefronts on Court and Smith Street are cleaned to opening standard: new shelving and counters, glass doors and display cases, restrooms, the back-of-house and the basement stairs. Shops and restaurants usually have a fixed opening date, so the rough clean is scheduled before fixtures arrive and the final clean two days before opening.
Whole brownstones on 1st through 4th Place and on President, Carroll and Union Streets follow the gut-renovation pattern: plaster dust on every floor, new kitchens and baths, refinished original floors. Every floor is HEPA-vacuumed top down before any wiping, and the stair runner goes in after the clean, not before.
The final clean is booked for the day after the last trade leaves. If the date slips, the clean moves with it at no charge.
On the Places, equipment is carried through the front garden and up the stoop. Plantings and walkways are protected on the way in.
Court and Smith Street have metered parking and delivery traffic. The crew comes by van, unloads and moves on. Large construction debris is removed from the space; disposal runs are coordinated with you, priced when you book.
Storefront cleans are timed around fixture delivery and inspection dates, with a final pass the day before opening if needed.
Fine dust is vacuumed with HEPA filters, never swept, before surfaces are wiped.
Commercial landlords on Court Street often ask for a vendor COI. It is issued before the first day.
A garden-level renovation or an apartment above a store usually needs a final clean and one touch-up. A storefront often adds a rough clean before fixtures. A whole brownstone needs all three: a rough clean after drywall, a final clean after the last trade, and a touch-up after the punch list.
Send photos of each floor, the square footage and the contractor’s schedule; the quote lists each visit separately. More numbers are in post-construction cleaning cost in Brooklyn.
The same four steps as the crew’s written work order, sized for a home. Inside the appliances and cabinets is included.
